- 125 g butter
- 1/3 cup castor sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup 100% Australian honey
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 – 2 ½ cups plain flour
- 3 tsp bi-carb soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp ginger
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and then beat in 100% Australian honey.
Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Lastly, add hot water and mix thoroughly.
Pour into lined 23cm square tin (or use shapes such as gingerbread man).
Bake 40 – 60 minutes in a moderate oven
